So I have decided that I will be tasting the wines that I can actually afford on a weekly basis:
Trader Joe's:
Blue Fin
Fetzer
J Lohr

A 6 pack from Ralph's with 20-30% off deal
Bogle
Kendall-Jackson
Meridian
Toasted Head
Turning Leaf
Wente

Bevmo:
Butterfield Station
Edna Valley
Geyser Peak
Gnarly Head
Toad Hollow
And possibly La Crema for my birthday or something special.

Gnarly Head has already been purchased from Bevmo thanks to the 5 cent and the magicality of it.

Next week you shall hear Husband and my review of Gnarly Head!

Until the next drink...

  1. So when you say "Oaky" does that mean that it tastes like trees? Like bourbon tastes like the barrel? Or does it mean something else with wine?

  2. I highly recommend J Lohr reds. I like their whites, but their reds are the best. They are a Wilson family favorite. My second cousin is one of the enologists for J Lohr, so we are particularly partial.

We had the Gnarly Head Chardonnay at our wedding. It is one of my favorite Chardonnays.

  3. SuperSwellTimes Liz: Oaky the same sort of thing as the Bourbon term. Where is tastes toasty and woody.

Elizabeth Liz: Thank you for the suggestions! I will for sure keep that in mind for when we start explore Reds more! I already know I like JLohr reds as well, but I am not sure I have had their Chard yet. Looking forward to it. :)
